Skyeton | Prevail Announcing the first new UK–Ukraine drone joint venture

Challenge:

Prevail Partners, a UK intelligence and security agency, and Skyeton, a Ukrainian UAV manufacturer, launched a new joint venture. It was the first of its kind between the UK and Ukraine in the defence drone space. The goal was clear: make it known, and make it count.

We needed the right people to pay attention. That meant cutting through the noise to reach decision-makers across the Ministry of Defence and the wider defence and aerospace industries. Timing was critical. The news had to land while political momentum for UK–Ukraine partnerships was high. We saw an opportunity to shape the narrative and moved fast to seize it.

Solution:

We tracked the media and political agenda and timed the press release to land just after a major UK government announcement. The Ministry of Defence had unveiled new investment in frontline drone technology to support Ukraine; creating a timely window to align the joint venture with a live policy priority. That gave the story immediate relevance and positioned the launch within a broader strategic context.

To engage MoD procurement teams and defence stakeholders, we targeted top-tier business and policy media. The joint venture’s geopolitical significance and timing gave it natural news value. We ensured it delivered.

The impact:

We secured 66 pieces of national and international coverage, including a prime slot on BBC Business News and strong pick-up across the defence press.

Crucially, we packaged the coverage for stakeholder engagement, equipping our clients with sharp, authoritative proof points to share with government officials ahead of a formal reception.

From a standing start, we helped Prevail Partners and Skyeton make their mark as pioneers in UK–Ukraine defence collaboration. First to move, and first to be seen.
