As an agency focused on delivering value to automotive technology companies, you’ll be familiar with the marketplace as well as being across core PR disciplines – there will be some rolling up of the sleeves to get involved in everything from media pitching, lobbying to scripting white papers! Relevant media contacts are helpful but not essential.

Our clients are endlessly fascinating, helping to electrify the auto industry, power it with hydrogen tech or harness AI to power new, exponential ways of doing things.

We are looking for an experienced PR that is excited about trailblazing these pioneering companies. But you’ll also need some old-school skill sets including competence and enthusiasm to pitch media, knowing how to find a story amid piles of complicated tech, and highly capable writing and editorial skills – from drafting press releases and long-form white papers to storyboarding a social video.

You might be a more experienced AM looking to take a step up, or an AD that wants to broaden their skill set.

Who are you?
You’ll be an experienced PR practitioner that has done ‘senior time’ in the sector, either agency-wide or in-house and you’ll know what good – for an agency and its clients – looks like. Your experience and leadership will be essential to help the PR team continue to excel and develop. Perhaps you’re returning to the workplace and don’t necessarily want to get fully embroiled in the 24/7 of agency life, we’d be more than content to discuss flexible working arrangements for the right person.

Passion for auto tech and its capacity to solve intractable problems would definitely form part of the match criteria for us – and for that reason, you’re most likely highly-enquiring and have a sense of the world beyond. Equally, you will have some unhealthy obsession with some part of the media landscape – rolling news junkies, staunch defenders of the BBC charter or social media obsessives are welcome in equal measure. Some experience in Public Affairs would also be an advantage.

Your duties
Client Management
While this is a senior role, we’d estimate 70% of your time will be spent on active client accounts, with 30% of your time spent on the remaining tasks noted below. So from the get-go, we’ll expect you to lead on a book of clients. You’ll be responsible for new client onboarding and guiding businesses that may not have previous experience of PR on making best use of our services. And then there will be the hands-on elements, writing press releases, interviewing client execs etc, but we also need you to keep an eye on client servicing and resourcing levels, contract renewals and overall client relationship management.

SaaS Tools and Business Infrastructure
PR and strategic comms are at the vanguard of technology change. In order to be useful to our clients, we must walk the walk. We’d be delighted if you took an active part in managing and configuring our suite of remote working tools, from our project & task management tools that form the centre point of our daily stand-up calls to developing our in-house abilities to report to clients through online dashboards or edit videos without recourse to slow and expensive production agencies.
